Are you going to Zermatt for a family ski holiday?
Zermatt is a car-free resort. If you choose to walk from Zermatt station, it will take 10 minutes to cross the centre of Zermatt and 10 minutes walking via the unmarked path through the larch trees to reach your holiday apartment. From the very beginning of your stay in Zermatt, you may have the chance to meet a deer, squirrels or small chamois.
Right in the heart of the mountain and with its steep 50 m ascent, the access pathway is difficult to access with strollers or for the elderly, and impossible for people with disabilities.
From Zermatt station, taxis or e-buses can also be an alternative way to get to the start of the unmarked path.
The Gornergrat train remains the best solution for a comfortable arrival, with its stop in front of the holiday residence.
